Course Description:

Now that the books have closed on August, and a month has passed since the beginning of Sunshine Act data collection, it is an opportune time to reflect on the challenges, successes, and surprises that have developed since live data collection began.

Course Objective:

Looking backward:

This webinar will provide you with a methodical approach to reviewing your August data, strategies to conducting honest and effective assessment of you organization’s technical and procedural infrastructure.  Take advantage of the wealth of data you now have available and use it to identify areas needing adjustment moving forward.  What changes have been identified for your customer master?  Who is Dr. X and why was she not in your physician universe prior to August?  Now that you have 20% of the 2013 data on hand…you must take advantage!

Looking forward:

Now is the time to act to make any required changes before you are overwhelmed with bad or inadequate data.  After completing your backward looking review into August data, you must quickly develop a plan to close any gaps that have been identified.  How will your data audits continue, will you increase frequency or sample sizes?  What procedures or policies need to be revised, developed, or discontinued?  Most importantly, learn how to maintain the required urgency within the organization to keep focus on Sunshine requirements.
All functional groups who have Sunshine Act data collection, processing, review, and approval and reporting responsibility should attend this important webinar.
